Randy Coin has nearly nine years of experience as an Instructional Designer and Training Consultant. She began her career in training at SkillSoft, an eLearning development company, and has since worked for VitesseLearning, a custom eLearning development organization, and Simpson Strong-Tie, a manufacturer. At SkillSoft, Randy developed IT, business, and soft-skills content as well as healthcare-compliance and HIPAA courseware. At VitesseLearning, Randy designed custom online training for Pacific Life Insurance Company, Janssen Pharmaceutica, Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly and Company, Seagate, and Centocor, among others. While at Simpson Strong-Tie, Randy designed and developed a variety of instructor-led and video-based training materials. She also designed and oversaw the production of a bilingual training curriculum for job-site installers that was the first curriculum the National Association of Home Builders certified for contractor-training materials. Julie Harlan has 14 years of experience designing, delivering, and managing corporate training for both large and small corporations. Julie began her career working for Arthur Andersen headquarters in Chicago where she worked on global training initiatives for experienced hires. Since then, Julie has worked as a Training Manager at Pets.com and for two of the top eLearning companies in the Bay Area, DigitalThink and VitesseLearning. At DigitalThink, Julie was an Instructional Strategist, designing and delivering eLearning solutions for Fortune 500 companies. At Vitesse, Julie was the Director of Instructional Design, where she reformed the Instructional Design department and led the company to the successful management of one of their largest eLearning projects. In 2004, Julie started her own instructional design business, helping clients formulate, develop, and implement effective training solutions based on their business goals. She has content specialties in the areas of management, leadership, biotech, pharma, managed care, and sales.
